# Poison Ivy Removal in Lincoln, MA.

Lincoln has more conserved land than almost any town in the area, which means most Lincoln properties share a line with woods, trail, or field that nobody manages. That's a steady seed source, and it's also why spraying is the wrong tool here: drift toward conservation land, gardens, and old pasture is exactly what careful owners want to avoid. I pull poison ivy by hand on Lincoln properties, roots and all, the same way I do a few minutes down the road in Weston.

§ 01 · Local Field Notes

## Where poison ivy shows up in Lincoln.

1. 01
Old field boundaries and stone walls. Lincoln's farm history left walls and hedgerows everywhere, and they're the highways poison ivy travels.
2. 02
Trail and conservation edges. Lots abutting town trails, the rail trail corridor, and land near Drumlin Farm inherit seedlings from the wild side of the line every season.
3. 03
Perennial beds and orchard remnants. Vines thread through plantings that predate the current owners, where nobody wants a sprayer anywhere nearby.
4. 04
Paddocks and outbuilding edges. Fence posts, barn foundations, and shed lines carry mature hairy vines that have been growing undisturbed for years.

§ 02 · Engagement

## The same engagement as Weston.

Every project follows the engagement I run at home in Weston. You send photos through the form on my homepage. If it's a fit, I schedule the on-site Poison Ivy Survey (https://westonivyleague.com/uv-survey). I walk the property, document every active zone, and deliver a custom map with a fixed-price removal proposal (https://westonivyleague.com/proposal). Removal is hand-pulling: leaves, vines, crowns, and roots, bagged and hauled off-site the same day, with a 30-day return visit included. There is no travel surcharge anywhere in my standing service area.

§ 03 · Method Fit

## Why hand-pulling fits Lincoln.

On a property that touches conservation land, herbicide is a liability in every direction: drift, runoff, and a dead urushiol-coated vine left standing where a hiker or a dog brushes past. Manual extraction removes the hazard physically and leaves nothing behind but soil. I work up to your documented property line and scope conservation-sensitive edges before any work begins.

§ 04 · Reference Desk

## Common questions from Lincoln.

Q.

Do you charge extra to come to Lincoln?

+ −

No. Lincoln is part of my standing service area, and it's one town over from home. Same process, no travel surcharge.

Q.

My land abuts conservation property. How do you handle the boundary?

+ −

I work on your side of the documented property line and I don't do work that requires approvals I don't have. If growth is rooted on the far side, I document it, clear your side, and tell you plainly what remains and where.

Send me the worst spot. I'll take it from there.

The 2026 calendar is closed. This season's schedule is fully committed, and I am not taking on new surveys or removals for the remainder of the year. The calendar reopens in spring 2027.
